In 2000 Kazi Mashambani Development Programme (KAMADEP) was registered as a national NGO in Kenya. The NGO has since established all requisite governance, management and administrative structures. It has five board of directors. i.e 3 male 2 female. Under them are executive director, programme manager and other field and supportive staff.
It exists to work with the most poor and marginalized members of the communities to reduce poverty through utilization of resources in a sustainable manner. It does this by strengthening the capacity of local individuals, groups and communities in projects that concern them so that they can own and manage them more effectively at the project completion period.
